Military Sims exists as a user run program for advanced users of laser combat and military enthusiasts who want to take their combat simulation to the next level – as close to a modern squad based combat experience as possible - without the bullets.
What Military Sims is:

Military Sims is for those interested in a realistic squad based modern combat experience.
Military Sims is for those open to learning skills to take their experience to a new level.
What Military Sims is not: 
It is not for minors - recommended age is 18 or above
It is not for those who exploit the mechanics of their tools or systems for use
It is not for those who chase points - the experience is the ultimate outcome
Who Military Sims is for:
Advanced/Veteran Laser Skirmish/Combat players
Current & Ex Service Personnel
Police & Security Personnel
Mature Computer & Console Gamers
Why MilSims is needed:
* There is a desire out among advanced users of Laser Combat systems and Console Players for a realistic team based modern combat experience.
* There are a number of users currently in or retired from the military with strong combat skills and/or experiences.
* It has been noticed that by pushing the authenticity of Laser Combat scenarios for advanced users, there is a direct relation to the drive to improve the quality of the software and hardware available.
* There may be an opportunity for a small group of elite players that can be made available to the local movie making industry as extras.
* Introductory players to Laser Combat (usually minors) in our region need something to advance to in order for them to commit to Laser Combat as a regular hobby they wish to invest in. This in turn should help any local Laser Combat businesses with their retention KPIs.
* One the growing industries in the western world is the use of private security operators in military roles and policing. There may be an opportunity for this program to be registered as a realistic training environment.
How does MilSims work?
Each MilSims session runs for 6 hours + set up time prior + debrief time after the session.
Each attendee booked in to the session will receive a Session Pack on arrival.
Set Up Time:
Mandatory - Aim to arrive around 0815 - 0830 to check your gear and your Session Pack.
Debrief Time:
Optional - Allow for up to 30 mins following the session for discussions on what was good, bad and how to make the program better.
This entire program is run by users like you so your input is valued.

That okay mate. We have a number of different locations that we are able to use and some are not allowed to be on this site.
hey, i just stumbled across this site and it all looks really cool!
two questions though.
What type of weapons do you use and how would i get them?
and what is the minimum age limit?
i did read that it is recomended for 18 yr old but what about 16? i do the Australian Army Cadets and am a seargent in that so i do have a bit of knowlage about the field and leadership skills.

Some of the guns are laser skirmish guns upgraded to better software. Some are paintball guns converted to laser. Some are DIY custom made. Some are Blueguns training aids converted.
You do have to be 18 to join. I would suggest getting some time and experience up at a local field like Logan Laser Skirmish. That way you get to know some of the community and you may get included in some special events where age is not so strict.
And yes it is really cool.
